The Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established to provide financial aid and quality of life assistance to service members and their families.
We help Marines and Sailors as well as members of the Army, Air Force and Coast Guard who have served in support of Marine forces. The Semper Fi Fund provides assistance to these qualifying men and women, and their families, when they become injured in post 9-11 combat or training operations, or are diagnosed with a life threatening illness.
The IMSFF offers swift and relevant assistance. The type of assistance varies and is determined on an individual basis.
We offer financial relief for needs that arise during hospitalization and recovery, such as childcare, travel expenses for families and other necessities. For perpetuating needs we facilitate the purchase of adaptive transportation, home modifications and specialized equipment, such as wheelchairs, audio/visual equipment for the blind, and software for traumatic brain injuries. We also help service members and their families transition back to their communities by assisting with education, job placement and therapeutic programs.
In addition to financial assistance, our staff and volunteers ac as advocates for the needs of service members and their families and provide encouragement and comfort during difficult times.
The Semper Fi Fund plays a vital role in educating the public about the special needs of our wounded service members and their families and, with your support, we hope to continue increasing awareness and financial support for these brave men and women. Our mission, since May of 2004, has remained constant: to serve those who preserve our freedom.
The Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund was established in May 2004. A nurse at the Camp Pendleton Naval Hospital, whose husband was deployed to Iraq, saw first hand the needs of those returning from battle. She brought together a group of Marine Corps spouses with diverse backgrounds to implement a plan to provide financial grants to OEF/OIF injured Marines, Sailors, and service members injured while assigned to Marine forces, and their families during their difficult road to recovery. A Governing Board of retired Generals and Officers, Senior Enlisted Marines, and others with professional backgrounds was added to help the Fund develop into a nationwide program. The Fund works closely with the Marine Corps, the Navy, and military hospitals nationwide to identify and assess the needs of OEF/OIF specific families. And, we need your help to keep this noble mission moving forward. The Fund depends on the generosity and compassion of people from all walks of life to join our quest of serving those who preserve our freedom.
