Wendy S. Lethin

Director of Community Relations and Marketing


Wendy has been involved with the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund since its inception, as a member of the operational team and as a member and Secretary of the Board of Directors. Wendy has worked in all areas of Fund operations. She has been on the Executive Committee of the Operational team and then after an organizational restructuring, Director of Business Operations. She assumed her current position in February of 2007. Wendy was recently recognized by Cookie Magazine in their first annual “Smart Cookie” Awards for mothers who make a difference in the world.

As the wife of a Marine, Wendy helped to establish the Key Volunteer Network (KVN) for the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force in Camp Pendleton, California. She coordinated the KVN for Task Force-58 during Operation Enduring Freedom and then became the Key Volunteer Coordinator for the 1st Marine Division during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Wendy was also a member of the Headquarters USMC Key Volunteer Network where she earned the Bronze Award from the Presidents Council.

For five years, she conducted the Leadership Education Seminar, a bi-annual, three-day seminar on leadership for mid-level military spouses. She served as the Officer Wives Club Recreation Liaison and initiated a Fitness Program aboard Naval Supply Depot, Mechanicsburg. Wendy also served as the Chairman of Membership, Ways and Means, and a Volunteer Coordinator for her children’s Parent Teacher Association.

Wendy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Ecology from the University of California, Irvine. She is the mother of three teenage sons.
