UPDATE: Thank you Ferris High School for your generous donation! The students raised $5,300 by selling links in a chain. During the halftime of their game with Lewis & Clark HS they stretched the 5,300 links around the court showing the crowd the support given in honor of Marines and their families.
Annually, Ferris High School of Spokane, Washington has a philanthropic activity that culminates on their "Rubber Chicken" spirit competition against Lewis & Clark High School on January 15, 2008.
This year the Ferris leadership class has elected to raise money for the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund in memory of Marine Cpl Darrel J. Morris, a 2004 Ferris graduate who gave his life last year in Iraq.
Please support their efforts! You can contact Jennifer Walther at jenniferwa@spokaneschools.org for more information.
