Okinawa City Marathon

UPDATE: Congratulations to Major Tom Brinegar and the Okinawa Marathon Team. Team Okinawa raised over $2200 and conquered all of the challenges the Okinawa City Marathon threw at them. Great job! Thank you so much to all of the runners, their families and everyone who made this event a success!


A team of Marines stationed on Okinawa will be running in the Okinawa City Marathon to raise donations for the IMSFF.

The Okinawa Marathon runs through nine different cities, towns, and villages in central Okinawa and aims to encourage people to enjoy running and increase their fitness level throughout Okinawa.

One team member, Maj Tom Brinegar, will be running in memory of his friend, Maj Trane McCloud, who was killed in helicopter crash in Iraq.

We wish the team all the best as they train and spread the word about the IMSFF!
