UPDATE: Congratulations to LtCol Michael Huff for completing The Grindstone 100 Mile Endurance Run on Saturday 4 October 2008, in Swoope, VA. LtCol Huff has completed 10 Ultramarathons since February and has dedicated his efforts to raising funds and awareness for Injured Marines. LtCol Huff crossed the finish line in 26h:26m:05s and placed 16th out of 62 finishers. This was his first 100 mile race. We would like to thank Mike and his supporters for their generous donations that have totaled more than $7,000.00. LtCol Huff plans on running the Mountain Masochist 50 mile race in November and the Hellgate 100K in December to complete a six race series known as The Beast Series. LtCol Michael Huff has entered The Grindstone 100 Mile Endurance Run, which is run in the George Washington National Forest on the western border of Virginia. This is the first year for this race and it is being advertised as the toughest 100 mile race on the east coast with more than 23,000 feet of elevation gain and loss. LtCol Huff has completed 8 Ultramarathons since February 15th, 2008. He plans to run an additional two 50K's and two 50 Mile races prior to The Grindstone 100.
